Junior Store Designer

In this entry-level position, you'll assist the store design team in developing design packages for all new and remodel stores.

What you have the opportunity to do

• Assist with surveys of existing spaces, evaluation of data and budget, and analysis of design and merchandising criteria
• Work with the store design team to research and develop design packages meeting Macy's, Inc. standards of function, aesthetics and budget
• Participate in producing drawings, details, and color and material specifications
• Assist with developing production documents
• Work with design consultants to ensure packages are in compliance with design intent

What to bring to the job

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Architecture, Interior Design, Fine Arts, Design, etc.)
• Co-op or intern experience in a retail planning environment
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
