Mark,
Store Manager
"One of the defining moments for me was going from a seasonal (associate) to a store manager. Within a 10 to 11 year period, someone can walk into a Macy's and fill out an application, get hired as a seasonal hire, and then 10 years later, be sitting in the CEO's office, interviewing to manage your own store, which is a great, great experience."
|
Fedalia,
Merchandise Team Manager
"I manage a team of merchandisers that make sure that the product presentation is exciting and organized and most importantly, easy to shop, because that's what we want for our customer. And I really love the process of developing my people. I think that my largest contribution to the company is making sure that I keep the integrity of my job clear, my role clear. And being an MTM has been very rewarding to me, ensuring that the actual logistics and the shopping environment is conducive to what the customer wants."

Adam,
Human Resource Manager
"I like to think that the employees in the store are my customers. And just like we like to make sure that our customers are having an outstanding shopping experience, I like to make sure that my employees that I work with are having an outstanding work experience, and are provided the same opportunities that I was provided as a sales associate by the management team. So, I work closely with my store manager and my management team to develop the associates, and you know, bring them further along the Macy's career path."

Sandra,
Group Sales Manager
"I've been with the company for nine and a half years, and it's been great. The reason I've stayed with the company is I feel part of a family. I know exactly what the priorities are, and I love servicing the customers, and I know that Macy's goal is to provide and improve the shopping experience, and I want to be a part of that goal."

Vicky,
Group Sales Manager
"Anybody can be promoted, if you have the willingness, the motivation-if you can just get yourself out there, and you work hard, you will count to this company. Everybody counts."
