Macy's Systems and Technology is committed to offering our associates continuous opportunities for learning and development. We have over 1000 training resources covering a wide range of topics to help you grow in the areas of professional development and technical expertise. These resources are available in a variety of media types and formats, such as instructor-led training, online books, CD-ROM, and Web-based training-something for every learning style.
We offer courses covering many technical topics in categories such as client server, web application development, mainframe, database, networking and desktop applications. Classes and resources are also available to assist with supervisory skills and leadership, and a variety of professional topics such as Time Management, Communication Skills and Project Management.
Our initial orientation process for all new hires includes information about our environment and practices, an introduction to our email and project timekeeping systems, and information about the retail business we support, the leadership behaviors we believe in and the principles we espouse to motivate and respect those we work with.
All new employees are assigned a "buddy" for the first 30 days. Your buddy will guide you through day-to-day routines, offer helpful advice, answer basic questions and steer you to those who can offer more in-depth information on specific subjects.
